In 2026, we will be organising an extensive lecture series for the first time in cooperation with mVet Exotenmedizin. The topic is, of course, the chameleon as a patient. The entire lecture series will take place online and can be accessed from the comfort of your own home. We will talk about the basics such as anatomy and physiology, but also look at the different species of chameleons kept in German-speaking countries. Of course, we will also cover everything you need for your practice: How do I advise patient owners on husbandry and how do I recognise classic husbandry problems? How does chameleon-safe handling work, what is physiological and what is not? What is the best way to x-ray a chameleon and can you actually do a fluorescein test on a chameleon? Finally, we will look at the most common operations and demonstrate them step by step. And after that, you will certainly be fit for your first chameleon patient – or be able to take better care of your existing patients!
Our first big lecture series will be in German only – sorry to all English speaking colleagues, maybe we will plan more for later.
