A long day awaits us in Ankarana National Park. Finding reptiles in a dry forest is much more difficult than in a rainforest, even during the rainy season. And it gets incredibly hot during the day, so we set off shortly after sunrise. Packed with lots of water and motivated to finally discover Phelsuma roesleri this year. But there are also many other beautiful animals to find, for example one of the smallest chameleons in the world. And last but not least, Ankarana is famous for its Tsingy, a fantastic sea of rocks in the middle of the dry forest.
